1Password windows still using old vault pwd after account migration

Options

I recently switched to a 1Password account. The Windows install and migration did not go smoothly or really follow the steps listed in the Knowledgebase. I managed to migrate via my iPhone, setup a new iPad, migrate a Mac, and finally have my 1Password account on my Windows PC. I've unlinked the Dropbox vault, but my Windows install still uses my old vault password. I was able to solve this on the Mac by unchecking allow creation of local vaults, but can't figure out my Windows issue. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi @3500,

Sorry for the troubles! Please try to do the following on your Windows PC:

    1. Close 1Password 7 if it is running by right-clicking on the 1Password icon in the notification area to select "Exit".
    2. Open Windows File Explorer and enter the following in the address bar: %LOCALAPPDATA%\1Password
    3. Rename data folder to backup-data
    4. Open 1Password and sign in to your account from scratch.

Let me know how it goes. Thank you!

Ok, that worked. I'm guessing the next step is to delete the backup-data folder. Anything else I should do or delete?

It isn't necessary to delete it, but certainly you can once you have all of your data in the app. :)
