How do I retrieve my secondary vault password, and share the vault?
I use 1Password 6 for Mac. Way back, I created a secondary vault called Summer Interns. But I haven't used it in a long time. Now I want to share it, but I can't remember the password.
1) How do I retrieve or reset the password for my secondary vault?
2) How do I share the Summer Intern vault with my volunteers?
Thank you!
Debbie

@arealie - the only way to share vaults that aren't part of a 1password.com membership is via Dropbox share. But in standalone 1Password, you need to have a password for each vault you create. If you can't remember the password for the "Summer Interns" vault, you'll need to create a NEW vault, move all the items from "Summer Interns" over into that, and then share the new vault, since anyone you allow to share the vault via Dropbox share would need the vault password to add it to their own 1Password setup.
All of that said, this is only one of the multitude of reasons we recommend a 1Password account, especially for users who wish to share data with other family members or professional colleagues. A 1Password Teams account will allow you to share data easily and securely between colleagues, as well as giving each user his or her own Private vault for personal work-related items, 2FA for their 1Password account, Travel Mode, and a lot more. No more mucking about with forgotten vault passwords or finicky Dropbox sharing. Just your data, everywhere you need it. Hope this helps! :)

Thanks, Lars. I've been meaning to upgrade for a long time! Okay, I would like to create a team account. I have a license for 1Password6. Should I stick with that? Seems you have lots of options, and I find it confusing...what's the best 1Password to use for a nonprofit? Also, do you have discounts for nonprofits?

Our business team can help with nonprofits, yes. I think the best thing at this point would be to reach out to them as they'll be in the best position to guide you to the best solution for your company. They can be reached via email at
business@1password.com
. Please include the name of your nonprofit, a link to your website, and the number of people with the organization (if you have both employees and volunteers it may help to list them separately). Also with your email please include a copy of your existing license or receipt if handy. Thanks!
