Biometric Unlock unavailable

Trying to turn on biometric unlock in 1P produces an IllegalBlockSizeException.
I saw a similar thread with the same error but no resolution was posted.

    I'd like to ask you to try resetting your biometrics. Before you proceed, make sure you can sign in to your account on the 1Password website and have your account password and Secret Key handy.
    1. Open 1Password for Android.
    2. Tap > Settings > Security > Turn off Biometric Unlock.
    3. Open your device's Settings > Security > Fingerprint Unlock > Delete your saved fingerprints and turn off Fingerprint Unlock.
    4. Restart your device > Turn on Fingerprint Unlock and save your fingerprints again.
    5. Open the 1Password app.
    6. Tap > Settings > Security > Turn on Biometric Unlock.

    I did exactly as you suggested. I get the identical error again.

    @djlittlemind, I'd like to ask you to repeat Timothy's initial steps, but with a few additional steps:
    1. Uninstall the 1Password app on your Android device.
    2. Open your device's Settings > Security > Fingerprint Unlock > Delete your saved fingerprints.
    3. Go back to the Security settings and disable all forms of lock screen security (pattern, PIN, or password).
    4. Reboot your device.
    5. Turn on Fingerprint Unlock and save your fingerprints again.
    6. Turn on lock screen security again.
    7. Reinstall the 1Password app.
