I cannot unlock the Firefox extension on Mac

I've purchased 1Password, downloaded the latest version 8, refreshed Firefox, and downloaded the latest Firefox add on. I am unable to unlock 1password from Firefox. When I click on the toolbar icon, I shows a large "Open 1Password" button but does nothing when I click on it.

Extension Version: 2.3.7
OS Version: macOS 12.5.1
Browser:_ Firefox

    Hi @colewilloughby:

    Thanks for reaching out about this. As a quick first step, if you quit both 1Password completely (right click the 1Password icon in the menu bar, choose Quit) and Firefox, and then re-open them both, does that improve your state of play? Let me know.

    Installed 1Password 8, as upgrade, Firefox addon is greyed out. Tried to quit both apps, same behaviour. Works well in Chrome. Thanks

    It sounds like 1Password in Firefox might be having trouble communicating with 1Password for Mac. I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:
