1Password on my second profile doesn't unlock
On my default profile 1Password is unlocked. I can open it via the toolbar and see sites to auto-fill. On my second profile it is locked. I see the lock icon in the toolbar and it says to open 1Password when I click on it. Clicking on open 1Password does nothing.
1Password is unlocked in my menu bar. I can auto-fill using Command+\ on the second profile, but trying to use the extension doesn't work. It's enabled with full access in the settings. If I close the window and re-open it, it will usually work for short while.
Is this a known issue?

Hello @alamarco! 👋
I'm sorry that 1Password isn't working properly in one of your profiles in Safari. It sounds like you might be running into a known issue that our development team is currently investigating. So that I can confirm this, and provide you with any workarounds that currently exist, I'd like to ask you to send in a console log the next time that you see the issue:
Attach the file to an email message addressed to
support+forum@1password.com
.With your email please include:
- A link to this thread: https://1password.community/discussion/145843/1password-on-my-second-profile-doesnt-unlock#latest
- Your forum username: alamarco
- Please do not post the console log to the forum. This is for your privacy and security.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!

Thanks for the support @Dave_1P. May I ask what exactly this log includes? If I shouldn't post it to this forum for privacy and security reasons, I am hesitant to just send the log to the email without knowing what kind of sensitive information it may pertain. Does it contain sites visited? Password information?

I'm sorry for the confusion. Console logs do not contain your passwords or other 1Password data. They contain diagnostics information that helps the team troubleshoot the issue that you're running into. They also contain the version and build of 1Password and your browser.
When you generate a console log you have the chance to review it before sending it to the team.

@Dave_1P thank you for clearing that up. Unfortunately the console log is empty. I do not have anything filtered (it's set to All). Steps I took:
- Opened my profile to a new tab
- Clicked the 1Password extension icon
- Used my print to unlock it
- All I see is Open 1Password (which does not do anything)
At step 4, in my default profile, I can see the 1Password extension UI.

Thanks for your reply, @alamarco!
If you restart Safari and try those same steps do you still find that the console log doesn't populate and you only see an "Open 1Password" button? Can you reproduce the behaviour and send us an email at
support+forum@1password.com
with a screen recording of the behaviour attached?Be sure to mask or remove any sensitive information, but please include the full screen in the video.
As Dave mentioned, you should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here and we can assist you further from there.

It is still blank. What is the workaround you had mentioned previously?
I temporary tried another browser like Chrome and had no issue using multiple profiles. I'm only experiencing issues with Safari.

Thanks for the reply. Do you still see the issue if you turn off app integration in the profile where 1Password for Safari isn't working:
- Open the affected profile in Safari.
- Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings.
- Turn off "Integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app".
Let me know how that goes.
