App asking for password repeatedly

Hello,

I use the app on MacOS. I have a business plan and a personal plan, and my personal plan is used for unlocking 1Password. In the last few months, I noticed that the app is not respecting my two weeks delay before for the password again (I mainly use touchID). But in the last week, I think it asked for my password 4 or 5 times.

Do you have an idea on what could cause such behaviours?

    Hello,

    I use the 1Password app on my Macs and iOS devices. I set the preferences to ask for password every 2 weeks and use biometrics otherwise. However, I've been asked for my password 2 or 3 times already this week on my Mac, and I would like to know if there is something I can do to fix this. Thanks!

    I'm sorry that you're prompted for your account password more often than expected. So that I can better understand the situation can you tell me the following:

    1. Do both your business and personal 1Password accounts use the same account password or different account passwords: How to use multiple accounts
    2. Are you prompted for your account password when you unlock 1Password in the browser, the desktop app, or both?
    3. Are you still able to unlock the desktop app using Touch ID? Or does it not work at all?

    Hi Dave,

    1. I use different account passwords, of course! ;-)
    2. That is a good question, but I would say both.
    3. Touch ID will work after I enter my password, it is just not working as long as it is supposed to.

    For example, the app asked for my password Friday. I shut down my computer at the end of the day and powered it up Monday morning. I was able to unlock the app with Touch ID. This morning, I unlocked the app with Touch ID, the app locked after 30 minutes of inactivity, and it required my password again when I needed it.

    @Dave_1P The problem appeared again a few minutes ago and I opened the support ticket with the diagnostics file. The ticket id is FYU-63849-315.
