How to Sync Previous version of web browser extension to Version 4
I had problems installing Version 4 on 2 different macs and now I have version 4 on both, data in 1 vault, nothing in the other and previous version web browser extensions in safari and chrome on both. Is there a way to sync the old web browser extension version 3.9.21.90 with the new 1password v4 vault on my mac? Do I need to download a version 3 to extract the most recent data from my browser extensions?

You should delete the old browser extension and install the latest ones. You can do that from the 1Password menu to download the newest ones. You should uninstall the older one before installing the new one.

Just to further clarify. In updating my 1password to version 4, the previous version was deleted. I continued to use the version 3 web browser extension unknowingly without upgrading. I have login items in my web browser extension that don't show up in version 4 on my mac. How do I transfer them?

I have solved the problem myself and for anyone else who might run into this issue. Download a legacy version 3 from online. Rename it so it doesn't overwrite version 4 when moving it to 'Applications.' Open it and sync with icloud, or dropbox. Open the version 3 web extension. Create a new login and save. Verify that the new login resides in the main version 3 program on your mac. Close version 3 program and disable or remove the version 3 browser extension. Open version 4 and sync. Then download the new browser extension and install. Everything should have transferred over.

Hi @buddhaboy,
I'm so glad you were able to sort things out here! Our instructions for Uninstall 1Password 3 browser extensions say to do pretty much exactly what you did - I'm sorry we weren't able to get to you soon enough to be of any assistance. :)
