Does dropbox sync count as a backup?

Hello,

I’m new to 1Password, I’ve learned how to install, use and even sync it with dropbox.

My only question is:

Does syncing with dropbox means that my data is also backed up in case of computer failure? or do I still need to backup the files created from 1Password preferences / Backups?
