Trouble getting started with 1Password 4 from version 3

What is the deal with iPassword 4? Does it work with Chrome on Mac? It didn't migrate my passwords from iPassword 3. In Chrome and in Firefox, it doesn't fill in the user name for certain websites. It asks whether I'd like to save a password even after I've asked it to fill in an existing user name and password. Are these kinks to be expected with the new product? If so, is it worth uninstalling and going back to the prior version?

    1. Works with Chrome. Can have issues (any browser) on some sites.

    2. I think you and others are expecting automatic transfer of data from 1PW 3 to 1PW 4. My recollection is that this is not how it works. You need to click the "Awesome. Let's get started" button, lower right of the 1PW4 intro page. Then click on "I have used 1PW before" and select your previous data. Sorry, it's ages since I did it, and I can't remember details.

    3. I don't know about it not filling it some usernames.

    4. Asking to save even after filling existing details is a bug. Fortunately, though it is annoying it is not damaging.

    5. You will have to delete version 3 extensions and install version 4 extensions (under Preferences, Browser). Once you have version 4 extensions, I believe they will update automatically when needed, but the change from version 3 to version 4 is manual.

Yes. You can download the browser extension here: https://agilebits.com/browsers/index.html

To migrate from 1Password 3 to 4, please see the Existing Users section of our setup guide:

Setting Up 1Password 4 for Mac

If that doesn't work, please let us know where exactly you're running into trouble and we'll be glad to help. :)

In Chrome and in Firefox, it doesn't fill in the user name for certain websites.

Saving a new login manually will often fix filling on problem sites. If that doesn't help, please let us know the URLs of any problem pages so we can investigate.
