How to autofill a login that requires three fields?

@mattyf I'd try manually saving the login, I would be very surprised if that didn't work for you

Hi @mattyf,
Did @littlebobbytables's suggestion for manually saving a Login item do the trick so 1Password will fill all three fields for your Qantas account? That worked for me using sample data.

hi littlebobby & sjk - can you advise which URL you used to do this as for the life of me only 1 username field is captured.
I used this website and it should capture
Number:
Surname
password:It only captures surname and password - no membership number..
Used from the main link...

Hi @JimOk,
Using the link you provided, I created a new Login using the Save a New Login Manually instructions and 1Password filled all 3 fields correctly.
If this does not work for you, we'll need to know a bit more about your 1Password ecosystem:
- What is the version number of 1Password you are currently using?
- What is the version number of your operating system?
- Which browser are you using, and what is it's version number?
- What is the version number of the 1Password browser extension? (Usually found in the Preferences > Extensions section of the browser?
The more detail you can provide, the more quickly we'll be able to sort this out.

Hi @JimOk
Can I ask, when you say it has only captured surname and PIN, are you referring to the visible fields in the Login item when viewed in 1Password or are you referring to what is filled in if you use the Login item on that page?
Here's my test Login item. You're correct, due to how we treat the username and password differently we don't work quite as obviously on pages requiring three or more pieces of information. Saying that, when you follow the Saving a Login Manually guide all three pieces of information are recorded in the web form details.
In situations like these I simply edit the Login item and add a custom field so that the extra information is visible without using the show web form details button.
Does that explain what you're observing and is the solution to it acceptable?

Hi @littlebobbytables, yes the 3 pieces of info is saved to the web form details however not saved above.
If you click on the website link through 1Password; it seems to login okay.
If you however use it through Safari Extensions (after you've entered the webpage); it doesn't fill in okay (as it only enters 1username and password where the website asks you for 2 usernames)Not entirely sure how i did it; however after adding it as a custom field. I can populate it now via Safari Extensions.
(i think i must have had Safari remember the username).
Thank you for the clarification all.0 -
Hi @JimOk
Adding a custom field shouldn't have any effect on the ability to log in, custom fields are just about storing information for us as the user so I'm perplexed by your findings. I have to confess, even when I did allow Safari to store certain passwords it was merely just one or two but I can easily imagine there being confusion when you have two systems offering to play similar roles.
Obviously the key part is it's working. If you have any further questions please do ask away
