More Flexibility with multiple vaults and syncing

I have been using 1Password on all my devices (Mac and a couple of iphones and ipads) for a while and I'm happy with the functionality so far except flexibility of the available sync options. I need to setup 3 different vaults: Vault 1 and 2 with different master passwords both to be synced through iCloud among Mac and iOS devices and Vault 3 which is the one (and the only one) to be synced through WiFi between Mac and iOS devices. I know that the architecture 1Password is currently based on does not allow this and I know syncing of all the vaults at the same time through WiFi is currently being impelemtend/tested in the beta version. Because even the suggested solution in the beta still does solve my problem, I would kindly ask you to consider building some more flexibility in 1Password so that the user could create as many vault as wished and is able to set the sync option per vault entirely separate. Each single vault may exclusively be synced through iCloud, WiFi or Dropbox.

Would you please give some indiction whether you have plans on this or you may consider this feature request?

Thank you!

    Hi @Omid,

Thanks so much for the feedback here. You're right, currently Dropbox is our only really flexible option for sync. We are working on making Wi-Fi better-stronger-faster, and I hope you like what our developers are able to come up with. :)

iCloud, however, presents a bit of a challenge. One of the main strengths of multiple vaults is the ability to share with other users, and right now there is no way to share data through multiple iCloud accounts.

In any case, I'd be happy to mention to our developers that you'd like more flexibility with respect to the syncing of multiple vaults.

Having the option to sync only a subset of data with iOS via WiFi sync would be great. Sounds like a really common usage scenario to me.

    Hi @rompazong,

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts here! I'll let our developers know you're keen to see selective syncing via Wi-Fi.

    Hi @‌Megan,

Thanks for quick response (like always! ;-) ) and for considering this!

Regarding iCloud, just to make sure we understand each other correctly: I don't need to synchronize over different iCloud accounts. I do need to sync separate vaults with different master passwords within the same iCloud account.

Hope this feature comes fast which will make 1Password the very best password manager ever!

    Understood. Thanks for the feedback!

It's a while and no on-topic answer to my request yet. Would you please consider my feature request? Is there a chance we may expect iCloude sync and wifi sync for each vault exclusively?

    Thank you guys!

    Hi @Omid‌

I believe Wi-Fi Sync in the betas (although I haven't personally used it yet) allows you to select which vaults you want included in the synchronisation. Of course there is no guarantee that what is in the current beta will make the next stable, it all depends on ensuring it's working properly and without risk to the contents of the vaults. If all goes to plan though it would seem likely the next stable will allow selective Wi-Fi sync of vaults.

We do have a request for synchronisation of secondary vaults in iCloud but I can't make any promises if such a feature will be included or when. I have verified that your opinion is added to this request but sadly that's all I can do. It will be considered though.
