Access to same Primary vault from two MACs

Hi, I am testing the tool and have just installed 1Password 5 on two MACs, one Iphone and one IPAD. Have installed all web extensions. Using Dropbox to the Vault.
I have created a Primary vault and a Family vault on one MAC and I have access to both Vaults on all devices with exception of the second MAC. On the second MAC I can only get access to the Family Vault, not the primary. I am not aware ow where the Primary Vault is installed (iCloud ?). I have logged in to both dropbox and iCloud - but not 100% sure I was logged into iCloud when I initially started 1password on the second MAC - but was logged into dropbox.
Anyway, how do I get access to the Primary Vault from the second MAC?

    Hi @Peerf‌

The first thing to do is pop back to your first Mac. Open 1Password and with your primary vault visible enter 1Password's preferences and switch to the Sync tab.

In there you should see what method you're syncing with and where to if syncing with Dropbox. Make a note of that. You know it's the primary vault because it's titled 1Password.agilekeychain (the primary is always called this). Change to your secondary vault and do the same. If you titled the vault Family then it will probably be called Family.agilekeychain.

With this knowledge at hand it's time to pop back to the second Mac.

Given you probably want to keep the ordering the same (primary as primary, family as secondary) the first thing to do is to follow the Starting Over guide. This reset 1Password to a state as if you had never run it before.

Then you will want to set up 1Password like you did before and as a user with an existing vault you want to follow the Getting started again on a new computer guide, using the location of your 1Password.agilekeychain.

Once you've linked 1Password to your primary vault then it's onto your secondary Family vault. In Finder navigate to where the Family.agilekeychain is. Double click on the agilekeychain and 1Password will take you through the steps to add it as a secondary vault on this second Mac.

All going well you should have both Macs set up in the same way. If you have any questions or something isn't going right please do let us know here. Fingers crossed though we will be hearing of your success

Thanks for feedback and I should now be OK for testing even though I had to drop the Prime Vault (I scanned my files everywhere and couldn't find a file called 1password.agilekeychain). Not sure what happened but I followed your instructions. Anyway now working with same vault on 2xMAC, iPhone, IPAD

    Hi @Peerf,

On behalf of @littlebobbytables, you're very welcome! :) It sounds like you were able to figure things out to get 1Password set up as you want, but if you have more questions or need help, please let us know.
