I upgraded to 5 from 4. Now both versions on computer. Both seem to have all the relevant info. How do I delete version 4?

Thanks,

    @eldeyoung‌

    Drag the version 4 app to the trash, then empty the trash and reboot for good measure. The reboot is just to make sure no items left by 1Password 4 will be in use by the system.

    The reason both seem to contain data is both are looking at the same data files.

    • Do not use an app cleaner. Some have gone all over zealous at times and removed a users data files. AKA your passwords. We do not want that. We only want to remove the app and nothing else.

    Thank you for your help. I downloaded uninstall 1Password, ran it & rebooted. Then when I checked spotlight search, I have many more versions than I thought. I dragged 1Password 4 to trash and rebooted, but it is still there and there are other versions that show up with spotlight search even though I don't see them in applications folder. There is 1Pw4, 1Pw4.2, 1Pwmini. I don't even know what mini is for or why I have it.

    1Password mini is part of the 1Password app so you don't need to worry about that. You do need to get rid of the 1P4 versions that seem to litter your disk. :)

    Try opening a Finder window, make sure your machine is highlighted in the left pane and type 1Password in the search box—which should help you find those elusive copies.

    Hi @eldeyoung,

    Stephen_C is right - you'll want to remove those extra versions of 1Password 4, but please do leave 1Password mini. This should get you sorted out, but we're here if you have any further questions or concerns. :)
