After removing beta and returning to 5.1, autofill is buggy
I installed the beta to do some log-in troubleshooting, and got tired of its frequent updates. So I trashed the beta app and installed the regular 5.1, and auto-fill started working intermittently. Command-backslash seems to have completely stopped working. Do I need go back to the beta?
Thanks,
Russell

Hi @rbanks88,
Were you also running the browser extension beta? If so, I'd recommend that you go back to the stable version of the extension. Let us know if the problem persists with the stable version of the extension and 5.1. Let us know what browser (and version) you're using, as well as the site, and we'll do our best to assist you in determining what's going on.

Rick,
The Safari browser extension wasn't working at all after I went back to the stable 5.1 [5.1 (510035)], so I went into the preferences and reinstalled it, but was still having the problem.
However, 1P seems to have now started working properly again!
I randomly checked about a dozen sites, and now just find one that's won't autofill and does not respond to the Command-backslash:
https://www.24hourfitness.com/MSO.do#
-- when I hit Command-backslash, the browser extension just pops up in a floating window.
Thanks,
RussellP.S. Many websites now use a pop-up window to enter usernames and passwords, rather than a unique URL. It seems I still have to manually click a login link, the CMD-\ to have 1P enter the info. Are we just stuck with that procedure on such websites? (https://tripit.com for example)

Hi @rbanks88
That first link you supplied, the one for the 24 Hour Fitness. That's using Flash and at the moment we can't handle that at all. It exists outside of the page DOM and doesn't allow data to be injected into fields like a standard HTML page. At some point in the future we may get a better handle on awkward pages like that although personally I hope Flash dies a horrible death (especially for home pages or login pages where it's inexcusable).
What happens though if you try logging in via this URL?
https://www.24hourfitness.com/usermanagementUIMobile/Login.do
It's for their mobile site but maybe it will let you stay logged in? If it does I'd say 1Password can handle that because Flash isn't involved. Let us know the outcome.
Pop-up windows are also a struggle. Sometimes we can get lucky and find another login page that you can use, sometimes you have to bring up the login window and then use 1Password. We're working on a new filling logic at the moment which we have high hopes for but I wouldn't want to make any promises as to if it can handle sites like this any better (simply because I don't know what the future may bring).
I do apologise that it isn't better news but we are always working on making filling better and work in more places. It's just many places seem to be working to not play well with programs such as ours.

Autofill works with the 24 hour fitness mobile site. Thanks. And yes, Flash is the pits.
I understand about the pop-up log in windows. I guess they think they look cool.
Thanks for the quick responses!
