Two weeks ago I signed up for A free trial I remember reading the terms of the license allowed me and up to three other family members to use and I would get minor upgrades for free
I was contemplating purchasing the software and I discover it's now $65 per person with no upgrades
Please respond did I miss something or did you change pricing because I've arty started using trial

  • Hi @williamcumming,

Thanks for taking the time to write in! I'm sorry to hear about the confusion caused by our recent pricing simplification. It used to be that we sold 1Password on a per-person, per-platform basis. This caused a lot of difficulty as folks expected to be able to make a single purchase and use 1Password everywhere. So now we've simplified things.

Our 1Password for Families service was designed from the ground up based on feedback from our customers that we needed to make it easier to have their data accessible on all of their devices, to share credentials with their family, and the need for web based access. This is the option we recommend for anyone who intends to share any data. A subscription to 1Password for Families includes access to all of our compatible client apps, including the Pro features on mobile.

We also sell 1Password licenses. These now include access to all of our supported platforms for one individual: full versions on Mac and Windows, and the basic versions on iOS and Android (in-app purchase for Pro features available). This is, in part, what accounts for the price increase of a 1Password license. With this option you can sync your data with iCloud, Dropbox, or Wi-Fi sync. It is possible to share vaults using Dropbox only.

I hope that helps! If you have any questions about which option may work best for you please let us know.

    Thanks.

    Ben

  • Also: I forgot to mention, but we have a pretty sweet deal available right now for 1Password for Families. As part of our early adopter special if you sign up before April 14th there are some extra goodies available. You can read about that here:
