Batch Import QR Codes
Hi 1PW,
I am moving over from LastPass, and I'd love it if you built a workflow to help me migrate from LastPass Authenticator.
LastPass Authenticator allows me to show the QR code so I can export my OTPs, but it's a drag to enter them into 1Password. Could you let me enter a batch mode where I can scan the QR code I want to import, then let me find the Form Fill I want to attach it to?
e.g. as a user, I open my original LastPass Authenticator (LPA) on the screen of my "old" device or using iPhone Mirroring (life hack!); I then get LPA to show the "Export QR Code."
--> In 1PW on my "new" phone, or on 1PW Mac using iPhone Mirroring, I use 1PW to scan the QR code. I want 1PW to offer to tag that new OTP it just scanned to whichever Form Fill I find via search, select, and then OK, and then resume scanning more QRs.
(Note that the "new" and "Old" phone above only refers to the fact that the "old" phone is the one with all the OTPs on it that you want to import.")
This should be much more efficient way of migrating from LastPass (Authenticator).
Thanks!
Hello TNTDJ! 👋
Welcome to the community! At the moment, there isn't a way to batch import all of the one-time passwords that you have stored in the LastPass Authenticator app. Instead, you can manually add your one-time passwords to 1Password after you've imported your other data: Use 1Password as an authenticator for sites with two-factor authentication
That being said, I can see how a more streamlined import option would be convenient and I've filed a feature request with our product team on your behalf. While I can't make any promises, they'll consider adding such a feature in the future. Thank you for the feedback!
