Safari Extension Started Asking For Password For Every Auto Fill [SOLVED]

.
I've been using 1P8 for some time without any auto fill issues. All of a sudden today, the iOS Safari Extension started wanting me to manually enter my password for an auto fill anytime Safari was closed and re-opened. I've always had the "Authorize After" Safari Extension setting set to "1 Week".
I tried disabling the Safari Extension, rebooting the phone and reenabling the Safari Extension. I then tried disabling auto fill on both 1P8 and iOS settings, rebooting the phone and then reenabling. Neither of which worked. I ended up having to completely uninstall and reinstall of 1P8, which was annoying, and that worked.
Is there anything else that can be done if this happens again? Is this a known issue?

Same problem just started today. iPad and iPhone. Have to use my main password to open.Even after I open up and try to go to other places like Amazon will not fill at all. As of now 1password will not work at all. Could it be the extension?

1P_Tommy why don’t you “actually” read the responses for the last few days where EVERYONE is saying the latest update broke the 1 week setting from working at all now too.
1Password doesn’t even acknowledge the regression. Getting bigger isn’t necessarily better and 1Password is currently proof of that.

I have the Safari extension set to require reauthorization after two weeks. Nearly every time I tap on the 1Password icon in a credentials field, it requires my password. Sometimes it will allow 2-3 logins, but for the most part it is always asking for my password. Why? This isn’t supposed to happen, but I just now tried it with 10 different logins and it required my password eight times.

Experiencing this now on all our devices. This is a new problem for us ….only since the latest iOS/iPadOS update (we are up to date 10/13/22). Having to log into the extension every time, with user name and password.

1P_Tommy Yeah, the 1 week setting isn’t working for me either. I haven’t seen anyone say that’s still working after updating to the latest version.

Sorry AMonitorDarkly
I don't come with gifts. There is nothing new to share at the moment.
I'm right there with you. I had to put in my password 4 times today to make one purchase. So you are not alone. We also experience this issue. I do apologize for the trouble. Have you tried the workaround that some found worked for them. Setting the setting to 1 week? I set mine to 1 day as a test and it was not fruitful.
Hang in there; we hear you. Again, my apologies.

1P_Tommy 1P_Dave GreyM1P 1P_Ben Can someone please give an update on this? This is another highly disruptive issue that’s been lingering for months. What’s more is that the latest update has clearly made things worse for many users. What’s going on? We’re at our wits’ end with all of these issues. Every time I use 1P I find myself thinking that I can’t believe I’m paying for this.

same issue here, please fix it asap!

…and me! The 1 week ‘fix’ has been broken by the latest iOS/iPadOS update, Version 8.9.6.
I have never experienced such regression in fundamental functionality. We pay our account fees which are not cheap, compared to 1P’s competitors. This used to be good value for a robust product and reliable service — not so much now. It feels like one step forward and two steps back with everything 1P do right now 😒
