Why can't I install the 1Password extension in Safari?

I'm pretty diligent about keeping my software up to date, but I don't like using auto-updates because I like to be aware when anything affecting my computer's operation changes. More than once, an update has been wonky and caused problems. If my computer starts acting differently, I want to have a clue as to why.
That being said, I want to give 1Password some well deserved praise. I've been relying on 1Password for MANY YEARS to give me online protection. It's THE BEST. I recommend it to anyone who will listen. Thanks to the entire team for creating, maintaining, and enhancing it.
