    Hallo,
it looks that an old issue is back:

I get an email notifications that a safari extention from a new device logged into 1password,
and that happens each time I start up the Safari browser (on iOS and iPadOS)...

    I updated to IOS /iPadOS 18.3 (22D5034e) beta recendly.
    1Password version 8.10.56

Are there suggestions how that can be avoided ?

Same issue here. Why is it reporting my own device as an unknown device, every time I use Safari? These emails are constant now, what’s going on?

Every time I launch Safari, 1P opens two windows:

This starting happening fairly recently, I think, but I'm not sure...

1P seems to work once I open the extension, however.

Also, 1P keeps resetting these two toggles, which I usually turn OFF:

Good morning, I have recently started receiving multiple of these email alerts as well, all from Safari extension. Is this a new feature being implemented? I’ve received these emails before but that was from legit new connections.

I’ve always used Private Relay since it’s been available, so it’s not like that’s new.

Same. This is definitely a new issue as it hasn’t happened to me in the past. I’ll need to check my 1Password version when I get back home.

One thing I noticed is that I believe I have "precise location" set off somewhere, so the city shown on these emails keeps changing. Maybe that's why it thinks it is "new sign-in". I can't seem to find where to set that, else I would test it to see if it makes the emails stop.

This must be a software change from 1Password, which is NOT a product improvement! It is creating incessant email alerts every time you use the 1Password browser extension to log into anything.

A fix would be appreciated …

And now it's happeening to my wife. All stable editions. @Dave_1P and 1PW, could we please get an update? It's no longer a beta issue. Thanks

I am also getting the multiple login emails… I’ve seen another user having the same issue on Threads. I get the “New 1Password sign-in alert” email indicating that I’m logging in from the Safari Extension despite being on the same device.

    1Password functions fine, it’s just… a lot of noise

Having the same issue since the last 1P update. Repeatedly emails about logging in from a new device, plus repeated prompts to setup the extension (already installed) on iPhone.

I've reviewed the many other situations where 1Password is working less than flawlessly on Mac OS 15 with respect to the 1Password extension. Any app I setup to be an app in the dock generates several screens the moment the web app want's a password. I've not seen this behavior in Safari so far but only in the doc web apps.

I have reviewed the material and advice on the issue in general, every privacy setting, and even gave 1Passward cartblanc on my most used sites (apple put's little orange triangles on them). I've reset 1Password on my Mac.

    1. Is this now expected behavior (at least for now)?
    2. If not any suggestions as to what I might be missing?

And of course the Apple Passwords app has no problem with this at all. :o|

I found the setting - it's "Maintain general location" or "Use country and time zone" under Settings-iCloud+-Private Relay-IP Address Location. However I still get the emails no matter which of these is set.
