1Password Chrome Extension multi-platform issues

Hi, I use a lot of devices and some run OSX and some run Windows. I also use Chrome as my web browser. Well, I have an issue with there being a separate extension for both Windows and Mac. Since I use my google account to sync, both of the addons get automatically added to my browser, so I have two "key" icons, but only one of them works. Not only that, but on my Mac, the Windows extension will actually pop up annoying messages.

Are there any plans to make a "universal" extension that works no matter what the O/S? It's extremely annoying to not only have two icons, but have one of them pop up messages because it's not compatible with the OS the browser is running on.

    Hi Troy,

We are working on 1Password 4 for Windows (which is currently in beta testing) that will make use of the new "universal" version 4 extension. Until it's released you'll want to disable Chrome extension sync (chrome://settings) and install the correctly versioned 1Password extension for each operating system. That should stop the annoying extension conflict problem you're currently having.

If you have any other questions or issues please let us know. We're here to help. :)

    Hi Troy,

I'm glad to hear that @sjk's response helped. Believe me, we're all excited to release some new awesomeness for the Windows platform. Beyond the compatible extension, there are a lot of goodies in the new release. Hopefully it will be out of beta testing soon!
