I've tried checking and unchecking to include betas to no avail. I've submitted my crash log and a ticket #WLZ-75193-834.

I am experiencing the crash as well from beta-6. The app is in the Applications folder. Include Beta Builds is selected. I'm not running LittleSnitch or Hands off.

1Password Beta 7 crashes every time I run it. I have the latest version.

I meant the updater not the app! Sorry!

Enabling the "beta" (which was already enabled, actually, but I disabled it and re-enabled it for double measure) does not resolve this Updater crash issue. I also double checked that the software is installed in /Applications, which it is.

    Edit: Support ticket #GQY-43352-447

I'm getting the updater crash every time I run the updater with the latest beta-I have "include beta builds" checked. I'm using the latest version released today.

There is a long existing thread about this crash here (the link will take you to the place in the thread where the beta 6 crash reports start). In summary, AgileBits is well aware of the need for a fix.

I'm still experiencing crashes, with or without "Include beta builds" being checked.

If you are using beta 6 there is a known crash in the updater, whether or not Include beta builds is checked in 1Password 7 > Preferences > Updates: see this thread. (The link will take you to the place in the thread where the beta 6 crash reports start.)

Nothing useful to add, other than that I'm seeing the same crash:

    • Version 7.0.BETA-6 (70000006)
    • Not running Little Snitch or Hands Off
    • "Include beta builds" is checked

Not sure if this is intended, but up to Beta-5, clicking "Check for Updates..." gives me a dialog box with a completed progress bar, which disappears and then nothing. No updates are installed.

I am currently re-downloading the installer and running manually.

I have the same issue. Also on Beta 6. Does not say no update or that there is an update. Running Mac OS X 10.13.5 beta 1 but 10.13.4 release did the same thing.

I think everything is said now - lets wait for the fix 😊
@Ben please give us feedback and maybe again the link where we can download the updated version. I assume currently the update via update is "out of order" so we will never get the fix through the updater

    @telephoneman - and others:

I assume currently the update via update is "out of order" so we will never get the fix through the updater.

I actually would NOT assume that, since I'm not completely sure what the deal is yet. But your guess is certainly one of the potential options, so if you'd like to be sure of things, grabbing the newest .pkg installer from the 1Password 7 for Mac beta updates server directly isn't a bad idea.

    lets wait for the fix

Best strategy of all, at this point. You didn't hear it from me, but I think we might actually have such a thing coming in next update. 🤫Hang tight for just a bit longer, folks. Thanks for your patience.

Same here - on Beta 5 the auto updater worked fine and on Beta 6 it's crashing again.

See here for crash log file: https://dropbox.com/s/oqny889uxist8v1/1Password%207%20Beta%207%20Autoupdate%20Crash.txt?dl=0log.
