We do plan to support passkeys and there's a blog post here that may help to show how we see that working:

But (and this is probably the more important part right now), passkeys haven't been widely adopted, and passwords are still the main way that users sign in to websites and apps. As much as new operating systems like macOS Ventura and iOS 16 support passkeys, they're not mandatory, and your existing 1Password setup will keep working as it does now – 1Password 8 has been tested with macOS Ventura and it works great!
