Thank you for the questions! Every family member gets access to the default Shared vault in a 1Password Families membership as well as their own Private vault that only they can access.
Regarding the Shared vault: you can create a new vault and move the items that you don't want your kids to have access to into that new vault. Then you can share the new vault with only the family members who should have access: Create and share vaults
There isn't an easy answer regarding the Private vault that each family member gets. I have two suggestions:
- You can use Travel Mode to hide the Private vault from their devices, however they would have the ability to turn Travel Mode off themselves if they wanted to: Use Travel Mode to remove vaults from your devices when you travel
- You could consider inviting your kids as "guests" rather than as "family members" to your 1Password Families membership. This would only give them access to a single shared vault and wouldn't give them their own Private vault: Share with guests in 1Password Families
